<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely operate a hood even if car speed varies. <P>SOLUTION: This hood control device for a vehicle is provided with a pre-crush seat belt operating signal input section 43, to which a signal from a pre-crush seat belt system to be operated by detecting emergent braking condition of the vehicle based on the brake pedal operating speed and the brake pedal operation quantity is to be input, a collision detecting section 41, and a hood operation control section 46 for operating a spring-up hood device in the case wherein a vehicle collision is detected when present speed of the travelling vehicle is within a range of the operating condition wherein the spring-up hood device is to be operated. The hood operation control section 46 operates the spring-up hood device when a collision of the vehicle is detected in the condition wherein the vehicle is braked for emergency even if the present car speed is less than the range of the operating condition and the condition for springing up a hood for a vehicle is not satisfied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
