<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device, inflating an airbag upward from the lower side of a window and further absorbing a shock. <P>SOLUTION: This airbag device includes an airbag 78 disposed between a lower panel 16 of a window 19 and a lining 18 covering the inside of a cabin and inflated upward along the inner surface of the window 19, wherein a shock absorbing member 83 is interposed between the airbag 78 and the lining 18.
