PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric oscillator and electronic equipment which are easily manufactured, are thin, and have small plain surface size. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric oscillator 10 has a piezoelectric vibrator 20 and an IC chip 40 equipped with a circuit for oscillating the piezoelectric vibrator 20. A mount electrode part 50 having a step part 52 is joined to each angle part on one surface of the electric vibrator 20, the IC chip 40 and the step part 52 are electrically connected, and the piezoelectric oscillator 20, the IC chip 40, and the mount electrode part 50 are covered with a sealing body, while exposing a mount surface 58 provided to the lower surface of the mount electrode part 50.
