PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a system to be rapidly returned to a multiplex system without time or labor, when a fault occurs in the hardware of an FTC. SOLUTION: A computer system includes; computers 100a-100c; a storage device 140; a network switch 130; and a storage switch 170, where the computers 100a and 100b perform I/O processings in synchronization, and program performance is duplexed in the computers 100a, 100b. The computer system also has an FTC controller 160 installed for setting the computer 100c as the alternative of the computer which is stopped by the fault, when the computer 100a or 100b is stopped due to the fault, and controlling the network switch 130, the storage switch 170, and the storage device 140, so as to allow the computer 100c to execute I/O processings by synchronizing with the computer 100b or 100a during operation.
