PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract a main topic from a document group that uses various keywords and defines a relation between documents. SOLUTION: This topic extraction device 1 comprises an eigenvector calculating section 22 for calculating the eigenvector of an adjacency matrix, a topic core calculating section 24 that ranks nodes based on the element value of the eigenvector calculated by the eigenvector calculating section 22 and extracts a core section having a coupling denser than that of the ranking result, a core link delete section 26 for deleting a link of the core section extracted by the topic core calculating section 24 from a graph, and a data output section 30 for outputting the core section extracted by a main topic extracting section 20.
