<p>A time based accountability system (10) operates through stored schedule and emergency contact information specified by a system user (12). Information is first received and stored from a user's communication. An emergency services contact telephone number (24) is identified based on the stored information. A schedule is then generated based on information received from the user. A remote accountability system (16) then determines if any new communications have been received from the user before the expiration of the previously generated schedule. A calling routine is then performed based on whether any new communications have been received from the user.</p> |
