The wrapping of groups (2) of products (3) positioned according to a determined number (n) of mutually superposed layers (5) is achieved by feeding in succession groups (2) of products (3) firstly into a tubular case (31) made to heat-sealable material and, then, to a first wrapping device (55, 56 and 57) when the number (n) of layers (5) is equal to one and to a second wrapping device (64) when the number (n) of layers is at least equal to two; the two wrapping devices (55, 56, 57, 64) being able to wrap each group (2) inside a related wrapping sheet (4), which is folded substantially in contact with the related group (2), and which is stabilised by means of sealing operations. <IMAGE> |
