<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine having exhaust emission control function, capable of suppressing reduction of oxidation action even when catalyst on the downstream side is arranged by being apart from the internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: In this engine having the exhaust emission control function, an exhaust pipe 20 connected with the internal combustion engine 15a has a catalyst storage part 22 on the upstream side for storing catalyst 50 on the upstream side and a catalyst storage part 25 on the downstream side for storing catalyst 51 on the downstream side, a secondary air supply pipe 52 for supplying secondary air into the exhaust pipe 20 is connected with the downstream side more than the catalyst 50 on the upstream side in the catalyst storage part 22 on the upstream side, and the catalyst storage part 22 on the upstream side is provided with at least one wall member extended from an end part on the downstream side of the catalyst 50 on the upstream side to a connection part of the catalyst storage part 22 on the upstream side and the secondary air supply pipe 52 and formed integrally. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
