<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a color filter precisely and simply while solving a problem of the positioning. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing color filter structure formed in a display panel having front and back substrates facing each other. The method comprises: a first step of forming composite layers 11, 12, 1G, 1C, 1S, 1D including a pixel drive element on a back substrate 10; a second step of patterning a first rib 42 along the boundary of the pixel region and a second rib 44 which has a height smaller than that of the first rib 42 and is arranged in the pixel region, on the composite layers or on the upper side according to a photolithography method; a third step of forming a step formation layer 7 by dropping a light transmitting material into a reflective region Pr demarcated by the first rib 42 and the second rib 44 according to an inkjet technology; and a fourth step of forming a colored layer 9 by dropping light coloring material into a region demarcated by the first rib 42 according to an inkjet technology after forming the step formation layer 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
