PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture joint processing apparatus capable of easily recognizing a joint portion of video images. SOLUTION: When a headlight switch is on, a video image around a vehicle video image 50 is judged as a dark color, and white is selected as a color for mask lines M1-M4. When the headlight switch is off, the video image around the vehicle video image 50 is judged as a video image in a bright color, and black is selected as a color for mask lines M1-M4. Thus, the mask lines M1-M4 can be displayed as lines of lightness different from regional video images R1-R4 around a vehicle in accordance with the situation around the vehicle, and a user can easily recognize a joint of video images regardless of nighttime and daytime.
