PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electromagnetic drive devices designed such that when the first and second electromagnetic drive devices are disposed on a substrate with vane members arranged thereon, the vane members in the course of being opened or closed are prevented from causing operation spots by the effects of a leaking magnetic field adjacent to and from a magnetic rotor and the vane members can be magnetically held in prescribed positions, in particular, without being supplied with power. SOLUTION: A light quantity adjustment device includes: the substrate having an optical-path aperture; at least the two vane members, first and second, disposed so as to be freely moved toward the optical-path aperture or retracted therefrom; the first and the second electromagnetic drive devices disposed adjacent to each other on the substrate and used to open or close the first vane member and the second vane member respectively. Each of the first and the second electromagnetic drive devices is configured so that the magnetic rotor is reciprocated within the prescribed range of actuating angle by the magnetic rotor, a coil, and yokes for generating a rotating magnetic field by inducing magnetism produced in the coil. The magnetic rotor has a rotation center in the middle, and is formed from a permanent magnet having N-S magnetic poles along the circumference of the magnetic rotor, and a transmission member for externally transmitting the rotation of the magnetic rotor.
