PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user's usability in a printer. SOLUTION: When the color of toner loaded in a color laser printer is input (step S100) and three colors among cyan (C), magenta (M), yellow (Y) and black (K) necessary for full color printing are input, the RGB data of an original image are converted into data of color which can be expressed with toner of input three colors (steps S110 and S130). When two colors are input, the RGB data of the original image are converted into data of color which can be expressed with toner of input two colors (steps S110 and S140) and printing is performed by using the converted data (step S170). Thus, printing is performed even with only a part of toner of four colors necessary for the full color printing, and the user's usability is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
