PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve rigidity and strength of a rear end part of a rear part car body without increasing the number of parts by effectively utilizing tie-down hook installation reinforcing members of the rear part car body, and improve support strength of the tie-down hook installation reinforcing members. SOLUTION: In this rear part car body structure for an automobile, a floor reinforcing member 8 is provided to form a closed cross section extended in the car body length direction on the lower surface side of a floor panel 1 by cooperation with an upper end side curvature part of a car body width direction outside part of a spare tire pan 3. The tie-down hook installation reinforcing members are jointed from a lower end side curvature part in the car body width direction outside part of the spare tire pan 3 around an upper end part. At a rear end part of the tie-down hook installation reinforcing member 5, an extension part 20 is provided to extend between the spare tire pan 3 and the floor reinforcing member 8.
