PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for an anti-rolling water tank device capable of obtaining good anti-rolling effect relative to parametric rolling of which possibility of generation is recently increased accompanying with change of a vessel model for increasing a loading amount and in which influence received by it becomes large in a container vessel or the like. SOLUTION: When a ratio of the natural rolling frequency and pitching frequency as parametric rolling generation conditions becomes approximately 1:2, if a rolling angle alternately has positive and negative peak values when a pitching angle is approximately at the positive peak value, an air valve 16 is closed near the moment of a shift of the pitching angle from the positive to negative value, and is opened near the moment of the shift of the pitching angle from the negative to positive value. If the rolling angle alternately has the positive and negative peak values when the pitching angle is approximately at the negative peak value, the air valve 16 is closed near the moment of the shift of the pitching angle from the negative to positive value, and is opened near the moment of the shift of the pitching angle from the positive to negative value.
