PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire enabling improvement of durability by suppressing generation of edge separation of a carcass layer. SOLUTION: A rubber layer 11 extending up to an outer peripheral side beyond an edge x of an edge part 4Ax and made of rubber having an air permeation factor≤40000×10<SP>-9</SP>[(mm<SP>3</SP>mm)/(mm<SP>2</SP>sec.MPa)] at 30°C is provided at each of the inside of edge parts 4Ax of both end parts 4A of the carcass layer 4 folded back from the inside of the tire to the outside around a bead core 5 buried in a bead part 3. The rubber layer 11 has a width w extending by at least 10mm at each of the outer peripheral side and inner peripheral side from a position K of the edge x of the carcass layer 4. Minimum thickness t of the rubber layer 11 is made≥1mm in a region Z of at least 10mm at each of the outer peripheral side and the inner peripheral side from the position K of the edge x of the carcass layer 4.
