PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic endoscope which can enlarge the bending angle, has a small operating force amount, and is favorably insertable into a patient and operable by an operator. SOLUTION: A bundle of signal wires corresponding to each ultrasonic oscillator element for transmitting driving signals which drive each ultrasonic oscillator element in an electronic radial method ultrasonic probe, a distal end hard section which constitutes the distal end of an endoscope insertion section, and on which the ultrasonic probe is provided, and a bending tube section with which the distal end hard section is connected, and which is bent by a remote control. The bundle of the signal wires is covered by a restraining member which restrains the signal wire bundle. In this case, the restraining force of the restraining member which covers the signal wire bundle in a specified range is made smaller than the restraining force of the restraining member which covers sections other than the range from among the signal wire bundle which is internally contained in the bending tube section.
