An ablation device comprises a first tubular element and a first electrode which, in an insertion configuration, is received within the first tubular element. The first electrode is deployed from the first tubular element to anchor in target tissue and a second electrode which, in the insertion configuration, is received within the first tubular element, is independently deployed from the first tubular element to anchor in the target tissue at a second position separated from the first electrode. An insulating element is movable relative to the first electrode to insulate portions of the first electrode.
