A structure of a mechanical chamber in a refrigerator is provided to reduce a manufacturing cost by forming the mechanical chamber by plastic molding, and simplify coupling work thereof by fitting a mechanical chamber housing to a rear part of the refrigerator via a heat/sound absorbing element for preventing noise emission. A structure of a mechanical chamber in a refrigerator includes a housing(3) formed of plastic molding. The housing has a large opening(4) corresponding to a rear surface of the refrigerator, at least one small opening(5) facing a front part of the refrigerator, and at least one wire hole(6) for passing various wires. A cover(10) formed with a plurality of heat emission holes(11) is coupled with the housing for preventing exposure of a compressor(7), a condenser(8) and a heat emitting fan(9) installed in the housing. A heat/sound absorbing element is interposed between the refrigerator and the housing. |
