A search device (100) includes a search database (104) containing search information for searching target information by input information expressing a character or a number. The search device (100) stores registration information in a registration database (101). A conversion unit (102) reads out registration information from the registration database (101) and converts it into a data structure of substantially same structure as the search information. A registration search database (103) stores the registration information converted by the conversion unit (102) in a state searchable by the input information inputted from an input unit (105). According to the input information, a search unit (106) references search information in the search database (104) and registration information in the registration search database (103) and searches for the target information. An output unit (107) outputs a search result searched by the search unit (106).
