An endoscope capable of maintaining the fixing of the position of a guide wire even if a hand is released from a treatment device raising stand operation knob with the position of the guide wire fixed by rotating the treatment device raising stand operation knob on an operation part. The endoscope comprises a treatment device raising stand for guiding the tip of a treatment device projected from a tip opening part formed in a channel for inserting the treatment device of the insert part to a specified position, a raising stand drive mechanism driving the treatment device raising stand rotatably fitted to an O-ring holding member mounted in the operation part covered by an external member, a guide wire fixing means fixing the position of the guide wire projected from the tip opening part formed in the channel for inserting the treatment device of the insert part, the operation knob operating the guide wire fixing means, and an O-ring fixing the position of the operation knob with the position of the guide wire fixed. |
