PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a printing controller equipped with RAM, a flash ROM and EEPROM may happen to perform an incorrect printing because of new program being unable to coordinate with EEPROM when downloading the new program while each time being required to perform an EEPROM intialization processing artificially. SOLUTION: The printing controller comprising RAM, the flash ROM and EEPROM performs the initialization of EEPROM automatically and tries to coordinate the new program with EEPROM when difference arises in comparing the areas of EEPROM initial information in case the new program is unloaded.
