<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a storage means, the apparatus being capable of consecutive printing free from a throughput decrease or a temporary stop without dropping productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image forming means for forming a toner image on a recording medium; a fixing means for fixing the toner image to the recording medium by applying heat of a heating element to the recording medium on which the toner image is formed by the image forming means. Power charged to the storage means during printing is supplied to a second heating element which is incorporated in a pressure roller and performs heating by a direct current.
