PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armature capable of facilitating connection work, while protecting the windings against damages. SOLUTION: The armature 103 comprises an armature core having a plurality of teeth extending radially, an insulator X attached to the armature core, a wire D constituted by connecting a winding M1 wound with concentrated windings around each teeth of the armature core to which the insulator X is attached with a transition wire connecting a plurality of windings, and a commutator 108 having a plurality of segments 1-24 and joints 116a extending therefrom. The insulator X is provided with a separating portion Xc arranged for each proximal end of the teeth, and a mounting protrusion Xd arranged on the radial inside of the separating portion Xc. The winding M1 is wound on the radial outside of the separating portion Xc, excluding the final winding, i.e. the end winding Ma (partial winding), and movement of the winding M1 to radial inside is regulated. A part of the end winding Ma, i.e. a wire connection part Mb, and a connection part 116a are connected electrically on the mounting protrusion Xd. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
