PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of an electronic album creating apparatus by enabling an album creator to create an electronic album using not only photographed images but also images obtained by photographing him or her or persons existing there. SOLUTION: The electronic album creating apparatus includes: a read base 12 on which a photograph, hand-written card, or the like is placed; an imaging device 16 functioning also as an image read part which electronically reads a read object on the read base 12 as a material image; a reflection mirror 20 which is inserted to an imaging optical path to photograph the album creator or the like by the imaging device 16; and a liquid crystal display part 18 which displays various material images obtained by image reading and photographing of the imaging device 16 and displays an album image created from the material images. The album image is edited/created on the basis of both material images of the image of the read object on the read base 12 and a photographic image of the album creator or the like.
