PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple-structured container with few errors in dimensions, permitting easy adjustment of the strength for opening a lid, and with excellent outside appearance without being enlarged. SOLUTION: The container comprises a container body 1 with a cosmetic tray storage recess 1a formed on the upper surface, and a lid body 3 for openably/closably covering the upper surface of the container body 1. A connection part 16 is made to project downward from one end of the lid body 3, and the connection part 16 is turnably connected to one end of the container body 1 via a connection pin 14. A flexible plate part 18 is formed in the connection part 16 in such a state that the flexible plate part faces the one end of the container body 1. A projection part 21 is provided at a position lower than the connection pin 14 to project to abut on one end of the container body 1 in such a way as presses when the lid is opened. When the projection part 21 abuts on the one end of the container 1 when the lid is opened, the flexible plate part 18 is flexed to climb over the one end of the container body 1.
