Indicating device comprises drive disc (4) and driven disc connected to the drive belt exectuted as a closed ring with a diameter whose sides work with the discs. It also comprises a device to indicate the running position of the vernier device. The drive belt ring (1) has the form of a band is turned at an angle in relation to its axis, whereby the cross-sections coincide once more at the ends of the band and are then tied together in a ring. The indicating device is made to have data put on the surface of the band and includes a device to be able to view these data. The viewing device includes a window (3) in the cover (2) to observe a part of the aforesaid belt's surface.
