<p>The method involves arranging a piston ring in a ring groove (2) of a piston (1) and guiding the piston ring to a cylinder wall. An asymmetric oil distribution with different oil film profiles is produced in the wall in the side of the piston periphery during movement of a piston hub. Oil reservoirs (6.1, 6.2) are arranged in the groove during movement of the piston. The oil film profile is determined through the quantity of oil. An independent claim is also included for a piston for an internal combustion engine.</p> |
