The method involves comparing information in a comparison mode of processing units (B10, B11). A synchronization signal (B40) is added to an interruption input of one of the processing units during asynchronism of the processing unit in the comparison mode. The synchronization signal concern about a delay signal e.g. wait-signal, and has higher priority when compared to interruption signals. An independent claim is also included for a device for mode switching in a computer system with two processing units.
