The invention to which this application relates is to a mechanism for the tensioning of a spring, typically a coil spring ( 1 ) of the torsion type, said spring ( 1 ) having first ( 20 ) and second ( 22 ) arms which depend outwardly from either end of the coil and the spring ( 1 ) is provided to create a biasing force. The apparatus is typically a power tool and the invention provides an effective means of tension the spring ( 1 ) at the time of assembly of the tool by using components fitted as part of the tool. |
