<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grommet mounting structure capable of closing a gap between a grommet and the circumferential edge of a through hole without increasing the number of manufacturing processes. <P>SOLUTION: In a vehicle component member (dash insulator) 11a, the through hole (hole part) 27a is formed, and the grommet 30 is fit into the through hole 27a to be mounted in this grommet mounting structure. The grommet 30 comprises a cylindrical body 31 inserted into the through hole 27a, and a flange 32 protruded from the end of the body 31 outward to face the circumferential edge 27b of the through hole 27a. A foam base material 101 is provided on either of the circumferential edge 27b of the through hole 27a and the flange 32 of the grommet 30, and a reaction material 102 to make the foam base material 101 foam as it gets contact with the foam base material 101 is provided on the other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
