PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of smoothly transmitting power and preventing the generation of rattling sound by appropriately adjusting a movable range of inter-axis distance between a pinion and a rack shaft. SOLUTION: By adjusting the screw-in amount of a screw member 125, the compression amount of a disc spring 126 is changed. Therefore, the position and pressing force of a roller 123 relative to the rack shaft 110 can be adjusted. In that time, the rotational force of the screw member 125 is transmitted to a holder 121 through the disc spring 126. However, a flange portions 123b of the roller 123 always abut on a surface 110c in a recessed portion of the rack shaft 110 each other, so that rotations of the roller 123 are prevented. Consequently, the position and the pressing force of the roller 123 relative to the rack shaft 110 of the roller 123 can be appropriately set. Furthermore, a rolling surface 123a of the roller 123 is a cylindrical surface, so that, even when the roller 123 rotates within play, the positional relation between the roller 123 and the rack shaft 110 does not change.
