<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new transposase and to provide a gene encoding the transposase. <P>SOLUTION: The transposase having an activity for transferring a transposon dTdic1 is disclosed. The transposase has a specific amino acid sequence derived from a carnation. Since the transposon dTdic1 has properties of being inserted into a coding region of a gene with a high probability, the transposase or a vector containing a gene encoding the transposase is useful for research on gene functions and breeding of plants by a tagging method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
