PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost of a fluorescent display tube. SOLUTION: Spacer glass 62 is stacked, through low-melting-point glass 65, on a peripheral part of a substrate 21 having an anode with a fluorescent material applied thereto. Front glass 61 with a transparent conductive film 61a applied to the inside surface thereof is stacked on the upper end surface of the spacer glass 62 through low-melting-point glass 63. A filament cathode is extended on a support plate 42 for leading a negative electrode lead to the outside which is sandwiched between the lower end face of the spacer glass 62 and the substrate 21. A conducting terminal piece 42 having a free end 46a electrically contacting a conductive film 61a and having elasticity is integrally cut and raised from the support plate 42 for leading a negative electrode lead to the outside.
