The present invention relates to a transferrin receptor imaging agent and, more particularly, to a transferrin receptor imaging agent containing HYNIC-chitosan-transferrin conjugate labeled with a radionuclide, and a preparation method thereof. A transferrin receptor imaging agent according to the present invention has high labeling efficiency and no cytotoxicity, and may efficiently be used as a imaging agent for early diagnosis and treatment of pathological states such as inflammation and tumor of an organism, because an image of an infected region may be obtained by targeting transferrin receptors within a short time.
