<p>An assembly recovers usable fiber material from a previously rejected fraction (27) that is processed in a cylinder (2) with an inlet (2') and water jets (9, 10). The cylinder is located over a trap for water and recovered fibers. The trap is formed by two basins (12a, 12b) that are inclined towards each other and partly joined. The two basins are linked by a common drainage channel (13). The two linked basins are separated from each other at one end by an open end. The cylinder rotates within the surrounding space where the rejected material is exposed to the water jets at an angle of about 45 degrees, causing the fibers to float free and drain to the trap for recovery. The twin-basin arrangement cascades water and fibers into the channel in which sedimentation and separation of foreign bodies takes place. In a further embodiment the cylinder is set at an inclined angle within the surrounding water spray case.</p> |
