<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module which is accomplished in miniaturization and is excellent in waterproof property. <P>SOLUTION: In a camera module 1 according to the present invention, a sensor chip 5 for conversion into an electric signal in accordance with light made incident through a lens part 2a is fixed on a step provided on an inner lateral side of a lens barrel 2b for supporting the lens part 2a.
