<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide personal information such as an advertisement being closer to a user by performing personal authentication of an article purchaser using a non-contact medium. <P>SOLUTION: This automatic vending machine comprises an automatic vending machine body 1, the non-contact medium 3 with a built-in IC chip carried by the article purchaser 2 who purchases an article, a reading/writing means 4 which reads/writes data, an article selection means which selects the stored articles, a database in which advertising information correlated to personal information written in the non-contact medium 3 is registered, a display means which displays the database, and an operation control means 5 which retrieves an advertisement matching the purchaser from the personal information written in the non-contact medium 3 and displays the advertisement.
