<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reserved program recording apparatus recording a video image without superimposed characters of newsflash. <P>SOLUTION: The reserved program recording apparatus 1 determines whether a video image of a recorded broadcast program includes a video image of superimposed newsflash (S1 to S3), searches whether re-broadcasting of the broadcast program exists (S5) when the video image of the broadcast program includes the video image of the newsflash, and records the re-broadcast program when the re-broadcasting exists (S6).
