PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding structure which secures holding of a packing set in a hole of an ink delivering part of an ink cartridge, and also to provide a method for forming a holding part. SOLUTION: The holding structure (28) for holding the packing (22) in the hole (13) of the ink delivering part (12) set in the ink cartridge (10) of a thermoplastic resin includes the holding part (30) which is formed by softening a tip (14) of the ink delivering part. The holding part projects inward of the hole. The holding part is formed by applying hot pressing to the tip (14) of the ink delivering part, thereby softening the tip until a part of the tip projects inward of the hole.
