PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nickel powder for an internal electrode of a multilayered ceramic capacitor which can prevent the occurrence of cracks and disconnection of electrodes in a manufacturing process of the multilayered ceramic capacitor, and also to provide the multilayered ceramic capacitor formed of the nickel powder. SOLUTION: The nickel powder for the internal electrode of the multilayered ceramic capacitor consists chiefly of a chrome-contained fine grain nickel oxide which is obtained by adding 0.3-15 wt.% of chrome to a nickel compound.
