The method for production of ribbed tubes for heat exchangers, with spacing elements, entails feeding a molding mass (1) by means of manual actions or by robots axially along the stationary ribbed tubes freely arranged in molding units (2). The molding units enclose the ribbed tube (3) in shell form, and sealing elements (4) block off the molding masses in the molding region (5). The forming units are then heated in a preferred sequence.
