The invention concerns configurations of a cosmetic container with integrated mixing insert which serve for mixing up or thoroughly mixing an application substance contained in the cosmetic container and/or for preventing or delaying the separation of the contained application substance into the phases thereof . In that respect the mixing inserts are preferably of such a configuration that an application substance is mixed up in the cosmetic container shortly prior to application by a respective mixing operation in order to guarantee homogeneity of the application substance.
