[PROBLEMS] To provide a motor not requiring a complex control circuit, produced in a simple structure at low cost, having a long lifetime, and downsized and thinned. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Either a rotor (1) or a stator (3) has permanent magnets (5) and the other has magnetic poles (2). The poles (2) consist of 2n or more number of pole groups (G) each having magnetic poles magnetized with the same polarity. Pole groups (G) adjacent in the circumferential direction about an axis are arranged such that the poles (2) of each pole group (G) have a different polarity from those of the next, and the strength of the magnetic field of the poles (2) in each pole group (G) is gradually increased in the rotational direction of the rotor or in the direction opposite to the rotational direction so that the magnetic field has a gradient.
