An ammonia releasing residue from mineral oil desulfurization comprises ammonia sulfate, 12-24 wt% of ammonia and 1-5 wt% of vanadium and is used as a mixture of 40 wt% of desulfurization residue and 60 wt% of water. It is supplied to the combustion exhaust gases in either or both of two temperature zones, the first at 300-400[deg]C and then at 750-1100 (800-1100)[deg]C. An independent claim is included for production of cement. |
