PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force control device for a vehicle capable of changing from a gear shift stage optimal for entering a corner to a gear shift stage optimal for getting out of the corner in optimal timing in traveling a corner. SOLUTION: This driving force control device for a vehicle comprises a means (S1) for detecting a corner ahead, a means (S2) for setting a target speed for passing through the corner, a means (S4) for setting a gear shift stage in entering the corner, a means (S5) for setting a gear shift stage in getting out of the corner. The necessity of engine brake based on the gear shift stage is determined in entering the corner (S8), and the gear shift stage in getting out of the corner is set when the unnecessity is determined as the result of the determination (S11). Further the gear shift stage in getting out of the corner is set when the speed is lowered lower than a value corresponding to a target speed in such a state that the gear shift stage in entering the corner is set.
