PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a client/server type system capable of quickly imparting necessary information to a client machine when it is not possible to provide a network service due to the occurrence of some problem in a resource of a server machine. SOLUTION: This client/server type system is provided with a network 2, a server machine 1 connected to the network for providing a network service 11 and a client machine 3 using resources 10a and 10b of the server machine through the network service. The server machine manages the identification information of the client machine using resources to be provided by a network service and the type of a program to be operated by the client machine using the resources and the type (120) of the user of the program of the client machine, and when it is impossible to provide the network service due to the occurrence of the predetermined problem in the resource of the server machine, the server machine imparts the information of the network service to the client machine based on the resource to be provided by the network service.
