PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical apparatus capable of preventing disconnection of an electrode and the like in an aperture part such as a contact hole. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display has a TFT element 31 provided on a substrate 7a, an interlayer insulating film 22 provided on the substrate 7a and covering the TFT element 31, a contact hole 25 provided in the interlayer insulating film 22 and a pixel electrode 24 provided on the interlayer insulating film 22. In this liquid crystal display, the pixel electrode 24 is connected to the TFT element 31 via the wall of the contact hole 25 and a step part 27A inclined more gently than the other wall part is provided at a part of the wall of the contact hole 25. Disconnection of the pixel electrode 24 provided on the interlayer insulating film 22 and connected to the TFT element 31 after flowing into the contact hole 25 at the wall part of the contact hole 25 can be prevented by the function of the step part 27A.
