PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability organic electrolyte primary battery excelling in a battery characteristic in a wide temperature range from low temperature to high temperature. SOLUTION: This organic electrolyte primary battery is manufactured by using an organic solvent mixed withγ-butyrolactone or containingγ-butyrolactone as a main constituent and mixed with one or more kinds selected from a group comprising propylene carbonate, ethylene carbonate, butylene carbonate, sulfolane, 3-methylsulfolane, dimethoxyethane, diethyl carbonate, ethyl methyl carbonate, 1,2-dimethoxyethane diethyl carbonate, and 1,3-dioxolane, and by using an electrolytic solution prepared by dissolving, as an electrolyte, LiBF<SB>2</SB>C<SB>2</SB>O<SB>4</SB>represented by a chemical formula in the range of 0.2 to 1.52 mol/l in the organic solvent.
