PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developer having excellent electrostatic charge characteristic of positive electrostatic charge and fixing characteristic. SOLUTION: The liquid developer comprises a positive charge type liquid developer dispersed with toner particles in an insulating liquid, in which the toner particles comprises toner base particles mainly composed of a polyester resin and a positive charge type high molecular dispersant adhering to the surfaces of the toner base particles. The high molecular dispersant preferably has an amino group within its molecule. The high molecular dispersant preferably has an ester structure within its molecule.
