PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire tread rubber composition which improves performance on ice on the ice and snow road surface while securing abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: The tire tread rubber composition comprises 100 pts.wt. diene-based rubber, 30-80 pts.wt. carbon black having a specific surface area by nitrogen adsorption (N<SB>2</SB>SA) of 100-150 m<SP>2</SP>/g, and 1-20 pts.wt. thermal storage capsules having a melting point of -15 to 0°C.
